Kia ora :)
Being tauiwi, I whakapapa back to ancestry in England, Scotland, France and Denmark. I've lived in Whanganui-a-Tara for the past 15 years on and off but I feel very connected to the Far North of New Zealand. I'm deeply interested in other cultures but only speak English. On an ideal weekend, I love to go for a good walk somewhere in nature, attempt to get in the garden, watch far too much Netflix and get into a good book. My absolute favourite place in New Zealand is Maitai Bay on the Karikari Peninsula - if you know, you know! I am the mother of one human child, AKA Little Monkey, and one fur child (Arlo the cat).

I started out working in Marketing after finishing university (the first time) but after a few years, a part of me felt unfulfilled and yearned for something that felt more meaningful. I mustered up some courage and returned to university and studied clinical psychology.
I have worked so far for Ara Poutama Corrections and TalkingPoint Ltd. My approach is informed by Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy, Polyvagal Theory, Somatic Therapy, neurobiology of trauma and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. In my sessions I prioritise and value your agency and self-determination.
